Right in the center of Athens, yet tucked away on a side street, Kostas has existed since 1950. The souvlaki is rectangular shape with cubed ends (kalamaki) and the griddled pita is stuffed with yogurt, tomato, onion and best of all, parsley. The parsley is a light refreshing touch. This is a great snack and very reasonable. This is easily one of the cleanest places I've been to not just in Greece, but in general. When you place your Euros into the cup, Kostas will use tongs to pick up your change.
