Morbier and Comte, Jura, France

Submitted by wadugeca
La Cave de Comte
44 Grande Rue, 39600 Arbois

Morbier and Comte cheeses are a specialty of the Jura region in France. The pictured versions were utterly delicious and came from La Cave de Comte in Arbois. These cheeses paired perfectly with another local specialty - vin de paille - a sweet wine translating literally to "straw wine" because the grapes were traditionally dried on straw beds.
