About the Author: Laura Siciliano-Rosen

One of the more complex NOLA cocktails, said to have been invented at a bar here in the 1880s by one Henry Ramos, the gin fizz is a delicate concoction of gin, lemon and lime juice, egg whites, cream, and orange flower water. SoBou is more a NOLA-style tapas joint with a beverage focus than a straight-up bar, but this was made well here.
