Submitted by brittanylpeterson
Sinop Mantı
Besiktas, Istanbul

These are Turkish dumplings stuffed with spiced ground meat, boiled, and then topped with yogurt and chopped walnuts. They are thought to have originated with Turkic tribes in Central Asia, and appear in many different forms from China all the way through the countries of the Middle East. This particular variety is from Sinop, Turkey (Black Sea).
