"Aperitivo" in northern Italy is like happy hour w/free food (pizza, mortadella, mini sandwiches, etc). A common early-evening cocktail here is "spritz," a refreshing mix of white wine, soda water, & Aperol (sweet) or Campari (bitter). Cheap & delish!
