Last weekend I attended this summer’s first “Bite Club” – an occasional street food festival held in Berlin. It’s pretty much one of the most hipster food events in Berlin – it’s what you’d expect to find in Brooklyn. The event features some of Berlin’s best food traders. CoCo Bahn Mi was there selling their gyoza, Hellogoodpie was selling there traditional English meat pies for just 4.5€ and of course there were tacos – Berlin’s current food craze. The tacos from Taco Kween were my favorite food at the Bite Club, though Mogg & Metzer’s famous pastrami sandwich was certainly as memorable as I was expecting it to be. Check out Bite Club’s website for their future events: http://biteclub.de/ I’m definitely a convert! This event was so much easier to manage than the other popular street food event in Berlin (Street Food Thursdays at Markthalle) and the location was far nicer. Outside along the River Spree in the über-cool Arena club yard with a boat serving as one of the event’s bars and dining spaces. You don’t get much cooler than that!
