East London Walking Tour Submitted by: travelsofadam
Spitalfields Market, London

In September I took a walking tour with Eating London Tours which included stops at local restaurants and markets so that we could enjoy not just the East London history but also the local, traditional foods of the East End. Our tour included stops in the Old Spitalfields Market and took us on a 3.5 hour walk through Spitalfields, Brick Lane and parts of Shoreditch. We sampled all the traditional British foods I was expecting (fish & chips, tea and a bacon sandwich) but it also included things I didn't realize would be so British (Indian curry and bagels?!). Who knew that London would be so tasty?
