Johnny cakes, also referred to as journey cakes since they can stay fresh for a long time, are simple breakfast breads primarily made of flour and coconut milk. Belizians eat them plain or as a sandwich with ham and cheese. Despite the name, Le Petite Cafe serves up some of the best local pastries in town.
