Massaman is a Southern Thai curry created by Muslims. Due to Muslim eating habits, this curry is most commonly prepared with beef, but nowadays you’ll find chicken, seafood and even vegetarian options in restaurants catering to tourists visiting Southern Thailand and its beaches. It always includes potatoes and, as a side, marinated cucumbers.
