Pastil

Submitted by hfatty
Pastilan
philippines zamboanga city san jose road

Pastil (steamed rice + protein wrapped in a banana leaf) is a native Filipino food, and Muslims are famous for it. But this place brings it to the next level. What makes the locals keep coming back is the sauce. Although it's just a small store, it is famous in this area because of the sweet and spicy sauce of the pastil. The taste lingers long after you eat it and of course it has a spicy kick. Muslim people love spicy food.
