How I Started Eating Goat's Giblet Submitted by: khizer546Today I would like to share the story of how I started eating goat's giblet. I was fond of goat since my early childhood. I used to look after goat on the occasion of every Eid-ul-Azha. Even now my nephew has grown up enough that he can look after the goat, but still I used to take care of goats.
During my childhood days, we used to celebrate Eid at my grandmother's house. When the goat was sacrificed the first edible part of goat's meat was its giblet. My mother used to fry it. My family always offered me the giblet, but I refused it. On one occasion of Eid when I was 8 or 9 years old, my family offered me giblet and just like every year I refused it. Someone said to me that if you do not eat giblet, then do not touch the goat for next year. I said, OK, give it to me, I will taste it, and when I did I found it yummy.
Today I like giblet so much that I wait for the meat to be cut and it makes me uncomfortable if there is any delay in the cooking of giblet!
