Western Mongolia is home to thousands of Kazakh people. A traditional Kazakh meat-filled dumpling, manti, is typically filled with a spiced ground beef or mutton mixture. The meat is placed in the center and the supple dough expertly pinched into a fancy shape before boiling or steaming.
