This can, my first taste of sujeonggwa, was a bit too sweet for my liking. But when the taste is not quite as saccharine, the combination of cinnamon, ginger and peppercorns topped with pine nuts and dried persimmon serves as a cooling and pleasant finish to a hearty Korean meal.
