Manipur, India

Called nobab in the Meiteilol (one of the languages spoken in Manipur, a Northeast state of India), it is called pomelo in English. Pomelo is said to be native to Southeast Asia and known for its signature sweet and sour taste. Manipuris eat nobab during the winter months. Seasoned with chilly powder and salt, it is a classic afternoon snack.
