idlis are one of the typical South Indian foods for breakfast. They are a sort of dumpling made with rice flour, steamed and served with chutneys that add the flavor to this otherwise quite plain sort of pancake. This idli has a filling of beetroot but plain idlis with sambar and chutney are the most common ones.
