In this dish, red tree ants were stir-fried with beef, basil, and lemongrass. The dish tasted like lemongrass beef with occasional crunchiness, but what good, delicious lemongrass beef it was! I was told later that red tree ants have a tangy, citrus-like taste, so maybe I mistook the ants for a hint of lime!
